Best wishes and congratulations go out to Paul and Brooke Straka on the birth of their new baby boy Harlow, and also Sam and Allene Harris with their new baby girl Tayla. Mums and babies are doing great, although the usual sleep deprivation hurts.

Take on SCARECROW - the ideal way to keep those
seagulls off your boat.
The VMS team trialed during December last year the ‘ScareCrow’ onboard a luxury vessel in Westhaven Marina, it was becoming a daily task to clean the seagull guano from the front of the boat, not only time but the paintwork started to deteriorate. The ‘ScareCrow’ worked a treat. Next its going home to keep those pesty cats from crapping in my vege garden.
The ‘ScareCrow’ uses a combination of sudden noise, unexpected movement, and a startling blast of water to create a memorable and unpleasant experience for the trespasser.
The animal immediately associates this unpleasant experience with the location, and to avoid similar surprises, learns to avoid the area.
If an animal chooses to return, the ‘ScareCrow’ will be waiting.
While a human may flee several steps after activating a ‘ScareCrow’, animals are typically affected to a much greater degree. In most cases they run much farther, and stay away longer. Because the unit only triggers when the animal moves, its behaviour is difficult for animals to anticipate, making it a very effective animal deterrent and repellent.
