Our
very first boat show,
Auckland 2009.
Aside from the high winds and rain the turnout for the 2009 Auckland International Boat Show was fantastic. Our focus to promote VMS to potential boat owners seeking a professional one stop maintenance shop, also the launch of our new service, Mobile Fuel Cleaning into New Zealand was generously welcomed. As with this type of event we also cemented relationships within the industry.
VMS has secured the New Zealand rights to Distribute FUEL DOCTOR. Fuel doctor is a fuel conditioner designed for Petrol and Diesel engines reducing emissions, increase fuel range, cleaner burning engines. Fuel doctor's state of the art formulation converts free water and microbial growth to microscopic particles. These particles are dispersed evenly throughout the fuel and harmlessly processed through combustion to exhaust. By dispersing the free water this prevents diesel bug from germinating.

March – Into the depths of
diesel bug we plunge. Caltex in Westhaven Marina
has graced us with ongoing work for probably close
to 6mths, admitting to infecting vessels from their
fuel during December 2008 to January 2009.
Consequently things have been a little mad.
April – Welcome to the team – Morrie Laing joins the team of VMS as a dedicated Fuel Technician for our Mobile Fuel Cleaning Service.
April – Sam Harris, Richard Stevens & Mark Gudgeon had the pleasure of delivering the Motor Vessel Dutchess to Australia. The typical Tasman lived up to its reliability and threw at us wind and swell from all directions. Clearing Australian Customs in Lord Howe Island was a first for me, a quick shore visit, paper work sorted by the official, Police/Customs Agriculture officer and we were off.
Day 6 arrive into the Gold Coast. I must admit this was a vessel designed to be out there, 90t and a range of 2500nm, I have now been spoilt and my criteria upgraded. Unlike a fellow friend and colleague we now call the MIDWIFE.
